Matt Hart, Professional Gardener
Born, raised and educated in Stevenage, I went straight to Horticultural College, studying for 2 years at Capel Manor College in Enfield, earning a RHS Qualification in Horticulture and a City & Guilds in Hard Landscaping. From there I took the opportunity of working as part of a gardening and maintenance team at a private residence, gaining practical experience across a multitude of different skill-sets in a high-end garden environment. From there I established Matt Hart Gardens & Landscaping and have steadily built up a base of customers across North & East Hertfordshire. I have never advertised, with client recommendation and this website organically growing the business.
We focus on the villages, providing our customers
with excellent service. From lawn mowing and garden maintenance, right through
to hard landscaping i.e. laying patios, paving, decking and shed construction -
we take care of a wide range of customers needs. No job is too small, so don't
hesitate to contact me today or email me at

Garden Maintenance, Lawns and Planting
When it comes to garden maintenance, there's no job too big or too small. From an hour tidy-up once a month, to more regular work that requires lawn treatments,
hedge cutting, tree work, power washing and ongoing planting, we can do it. Take the stress out of it and let us take care of the garden jobs for you.
Lawns form the heart of many gardens but need a lot of upkeep if they are to maintain their attractiveness
all year round. Careful, regular mowing is essential but all lawns will benefit from occasional aerating, scarifying and treatments to keep weeds and moss at bay. If a lawn has been neglected or heavily shaded, reseeding or turfing can bring it back to pristine condition.
When it comes to bringing your garden to life, we're happy to provide planting services if you have some tired and untidy borders to cheer up. After an initial consultation as to what you potentially have in mind, we take into account your garden’s specific conditions, with planting plans which can include trees, shrubs, climbers and perennials as appropriate.
